Camper A/C Modification Take 2

After we installed our old 5,000 btu window air conditioner that you can see on my last post, that unit decided to quit working. We decided to upgrade to a 10,000 btu casement window unit.  We went with the casement style because the dimensions were perfect to blow in our screen window.  We also modified our set up a little, and added some extra support because the unit weighs 75 lbs, and we didn't want all that weight pulling on the roof.  We installed flag pole mounts to the under side of the shelf, and used 2 telescoping poles that lock once in place to add extra support for the unit.  This unit works fantastic!  It cooled the camper down from 93 degrees to 73 degrees in 15 minutes!  Perfect!

Window A/C Installation on the PUP

So excited that we finally got the air conditioner installed today!  We didn't even have to cut any big holes in the side of the pop up.  We did drill 2 small wing nut bolt holes in the side track for stability, but other than that, no modification to the actual pop up needed.  It only takes a minute to set up, and cost next to nothing. Really looking forward to cool camping this summer!
